Larry E. Scott

Larry E. Scott, 78, of Shelocta, PA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025 at his home.

He was born on April 28, 1946 in Gastown, PA; the son of Edgar Clair and Vera Louise (Reefer) Scott.

Larry was a foreman with Bracken Construction until his retirement. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Gastown and the Indiana Eagles. He was a former member of the Elderton Volunteer Fire Department. In his younger years, he enjoyed woodworking.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered for always being willing to help others.

His memory will be cherished by his son, Keith Scott and wife, Krys of Elderton; two granddaughters, Jessica Wallje and husband, Keith of Shelocta and Mackenzie Scott of Elderton; three great-grandsons, Jakob and Bennett Wallje and Beau Scott; and a sister, Marion McCutcheon of Sligo.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 57 years, Jacqueline A. "Jackie" Scott, whom he married on Feb. 26, 1966 and who passed away on March 31, 2023; son, Kevin Larry Scott; his grandson, Cody Scott; and a sister, Anna Marie Sheasley.

Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Arlene Schweitzer officiating.

Interment will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, PA.
