Robert M. "Bob" Shotts

Robert M. "Bob" Shotts, 75, of Ford City, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Dec. 24, 1949 in Kittanning, PA, the son of Harry and Mabel Ethel (Wilhelm) Toy.

Bob attended Elderton High School. He was a member of the Kittanning and Ford City Eagles. Bob enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, fishing, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Game Show Network.

He is survived by his three sons, William Black, Jr. and wife, YongAe, of South Korea, Charles "Chuck" Black of Ford City, and David Black, Sr. and wife, Amy, of Johnstown; three daughters, Dorothy Kiger of Washington, PA, Yvonne Shotts of Ford City, and Bobbi Rupert and husband, Wayne, of Ford City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Viola Toy of Ford City.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, George Toy; his loving wife, Bethea M. "Bea" Shotts, whom he married on May 4, 1974 and who passed away on Oct. 22, 2021; brothers, Laird Shotts and Sidney Shotts; and sisters, Alice Dunmire, Patricia Corbett, Amanda Shotts, Gloria Jean Toy, and Louella McNabb.

Friends and family will be received from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning with the Rev. Dick Samuels officiating.

Interment will be in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery, Ford City, Pennsylvania.
