Charles D. "Chuck" Brothers

Charles D. "Chuck" Brothers, 75, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025 at his home.

He was born on March 9, 1949 in East Brady, PA; the son of B. Frank and Dorothy Katherine (Jordan) Brothers.

Chuck was a 1967 graduate of East Brady High School. He served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the VFW Post # 7132, and the American Legion Post # 454 where he was currently serving as Commander.

Chuck was a deep coal miner with Keystone Mining and a member of the United Mine Workers. He enjoyed helping others and woodworking. He made numerous flag cases for deceased veterans. Chuck will be lovingly remembered for being a jokester and for his wonderful sense of humor.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Patricia "Pat" (Summerville) Brothers, whom he married on July 18, 1969; son, Jeremy S. Brothers and wife, Karissa of New Ringgold; granddaughter, Bradyn "Turkey" Brothers; brother, Don Brothers and wife, Pat, of TX; sisters, Janet Culton and husband, Reed, of TX and Barb Noullet and husband Jeff, of Petrolia;

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ben Brothers, Bob Brothers and John Brothers; and a sister, Ruth Stanford.

Friends and family will be received from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of services at 11AM at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025 with Pastor Andrew Flower officiating. Military honors will be presented by the American Legion Post # 454 and VFW Post #7132.

Interment will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA.
