Carole Ireland

Carole Ireland, 84, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Grey's Colonial Acres.

She was born on Jan. 18, 1942 in N. Buffalo Twp., PA, to Fred E. and Olive G. (Hartman) Claypool.

Carole was a lifelong resident of Armstrong County and a member of Union Baptist Church. She graduated from Kittanning Senior High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Throughout her career, Carole worked as a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery and later with VNA Homecare. She enjoyed attending outdoor concerts, playing board games, and spending time with her friends.

Her memory will be cherished by her sister, Phyllis Hohl of Kittanning; sister-in-laws, Lois Claypool of Kittanning and Jean Claypool of New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents mentioned above; brothers, Freddie E. Claypool, Robert D. Claypool, Jerry W. Claypool, and Paul C. Claypool; an infant brother, Richard Claypool; and sisters, Wilda J. Olivio, Marjorie J. Stubert, and Neva Voss Claypool.

Services will be private.
