Darrell S. Wright

Darrell S. Wright, 68, of Ford City, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Darrell was born Sept. 9, 1958, and was a graduate of Elderton High School. He retired from Peoples Gas after 36 years of dedicated service. Earlier in his career, he worked for five years with his father and uncle at their gas company. Darrell enjoyed farming and hunting. He also enjoyed being with his family and tinkering in the garage.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Teresa Wright; his son, Shaun Wright and wife Chris; his daughters, Michelle Fisher and husband Shawn, Ashley Sirochman and husband Steve, Crystal Enterline and husband Codey; and his grandchildren, Sophie and Derek Wright, Curtis and Morgan Fisher, Tyler and Natalie Sirochman, Sadie, Caleb, Lilah and Alaina Enterline.

Darrell is also survived by his brothers, Laird Wright and wife Paulette, and Douglas Wright; sisters, Alda Hankey, Diana Sheppard, and Rhonda Donahoe and husband Jody; brother-in-law Bob Claypool and wife Jenny, Keith Claypool and partner Mike Casey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Meade and Alma Moss (Yount) Wright; and his father and mother-in-law, Dale and Kathleen Claypool.

Friends and family will be received from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Monday, October 5, 2026 at the United Rockville Lutheran Church, 720 State Route 2020, Ford City, PA with the Rev. Barbara Love officiating.

Interment will be in United Rockville Lutheran Cemetery, Ford City, PA.
