Donna M. Weiss

Donna M. Weiss, 92, of Shelocta, PA, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025 at Maple Valley Personal Care Home in Indiana, PA.

She was born May 29, 1932 in Cadogan, PA, to Rev. William E. and Grace L. (George) Shaffer.

Donna graduated in 1950 from Midway High School in Cannonsburg. She lived in Armstrong Township since 1954. She worked as an assembler for Season All in Indiana until her retirement in 1985. Donna attended Sagamore Wesleyan Church. She was a gifted pianist and served in her church for many years.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Bonita L. "Bonnie" Miller of West Bloomfield, MI; son-in-law, Randy Lockard of Shelocta; daughter-in-law, Denise Weiss of Shelocta; six grandchildren Robert Weiss of Shelocta, Mandy Hooper of Morrisville, NC, Tracey Taylor of Apollo, Ryan Wilke of Monticello, KY, Shawn Lockard of Shelocta and Andrew Wilke of Walled Lake, MI; eight great-grandchildren Collin, Christian, Kylie, Joseph, Shawn, Owen, Willow, and José ; and sisters, Novoline Johnston of Laurel, MS, Jeanine Zimmerman of Cleveland, OH and Candy Gearhart and husband Joe of Indiana, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Budd H. Weiss, who passed away on Jan. 14, 2001; son, Dennis B. Weiss; daughters, Rhonda Diane Weiss and Kathy Lockard; infant granddaughter, Marie Wilke and a sister, Dolores Miller.

Donna's home the last few years was Maple Valley Personal Care Home. She was cared for lovingly by the staff. This was a blessing for her and her family, and they would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation. Donna was also lovingly cared for by Grane Hospice of Indiana, PA.

Family and friends will be received from 10AM until the time of a memorial service at 11AM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Elderton United Methodist Church, 125 N Main Street, Elderton with Rev. Drew Gordon officiating.

Interment will be in Elderton Cemetery, Elderton, Pennsylvania.
