Elinor J. Gearhart-Hawk

Elinor J. Gearhart-Hawk, 92, of Kittanning passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Kittanning Care Center in Kittanning, PA.

She was born on June 20, 1931 in South Bend Township, Pa. to Harold B. McIntire and N. Luella (Anderson) McIntire Carnahan.

Elinor was a 1949 graduate of Elderton High School. She attended Plumcreek Church of the Brethren and was a former member of the Whitesburg United Methodist Church. She worked for Jamesway Department Store and later retired from Altemeyer's Personal Care Home. Elinor was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 277. She enjoyed ceramics for many years and playing cards.

Her memory will be cherished by her son, Larry E. Gearhart and Betsey Brogan of Kittanning; two daughters, Judy Fulmer and husband, Randy of Elderton and Deborah Davidson of Harrisville; a granddaughter, Rachel R. Fulmer-Wirt and husband Joshua; great-granddaughter, Reagan Wirt and a sister, S. Norita Toy of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by parents; her first husband, Mason E. Gearhart and her second husband, William J. Hawk.

Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services honoring Elinor's life at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023 at the funeral home with Pastor Roy Warren officiating.

Internment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
