Dana Colleen Waterson

Dana Colleen Waterson, 52, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at UPMC McGee Women's Hospital.

She was born on Aug. 1, 1972 in Kittanning, the daughter of R. Gregory Waterson and Jacqueline "J.K." (Kinnard) Waterson.

Dana worked as a medical assistant and attended Walkchalk Salem Baptist church. In 1994, she graduated from Thiel College earning her Bachelors Degree in International Business. Following graduation, she traveled to work in Germany and Singapore and at that time she realized it was her dream to travel the world. Dana loved to travel but she had a special place in her heart for her cats Zorro and Trinity whom she rescued. She was a big supporter of Orphans of the Storm.

Her memory will be cherished by her mother, J.K. Waterson of Kittanning, her brother, Duane R. Waterson and wife, Christy, of Sarver; a niece, Maddison Waterson of Rural Valley; and her finance, Carl Swartz of Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her father, R. Gregory Waterson

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at 11 AM at the Christ Rupp Lutheran Church, 228 Rupp Church Road, Kittanning, PA 16201, with Rev. Matthew Vatalare and Rev. Mike Bowser co-officiating.
