Thomas Lee Walker

Thomas Lee Walker, 86, of Elderton, PA, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024 at Grey's Colonials Acres in Kittanning, PA.

He was born on July 5, 1938 in Waynesburg, PA to David L. and Betty J. (Eisiminger) Walker.

Lee retired in 1996 as a supervisor after 39 years with Peoples Natural Gas in Rural Valley. He was a member of the Elderton United Methodist Church. He served nine years with the National Guard in Waynesburg and Indiana.

Lee served from 1961 until 1981 as a Scout Master in Elderton and received the Silver Beaver Award from the Boys Scout of America. He was a Past Master with the Ben Franklin Masonic Lodge #753, a member of Indiana Masonic Lodge # 313, and a member of the Coudersport Consistory. Lee was a Patron member of the NRA and an avid outdoorsman. Lee loved nothing better than spending time with his family and friends, especially at his camp in Potter County. He treasured his grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. Lee and Shirley loved traveling to all of their activities and sporting events. Lee was very proud of his children, grandchildren, great-children and all of their accomplishments.

His memory will be cherished by his sons, Brian Walker and wife, Cindy of Kittanning and Eric Walker and wife, Lesa of Indiana, PA; his daughter, Brenda Hetrick and husband, Gary of Harrison City; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Lee is also survived by his brothers, David L. Walker, Jr. and wife, Becky of Waynesburg, PA, Carl E. Walker and wife, Sharon of Parkersburg, WV, Richard "Jerry" Walker of Monongahela, PA, John Walker and wife, Becky of Indiana, PA, Bill Walker and wife, Laura of Waynesburg, PA and Alan Walker and wife, Olivia of Elrama, PA; his sisters, Diana Ruth Iams and husband, Robert of Washington, PA, Jean Scott and husband, Larry of Waynesburg, PA, Patricia Louise Smith of WV, Barbara Ann Moore of Waynesburg, PA and Michelle DeFrancesco and husband, Jeff of Waynesburg, PA; and sister-in-law, Melissa Walker of Waynesburg, PA.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Shirley (Shriver) Walker, whom he married on Sept. 1, 1956 and who passed away on Sept. 19, 2024; and his brother, James "Jay" Walker.

The family will receive friends from 3 PM until the time of services at 7 PM on Saturday, Dec. 21 2024, at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main St., Elderton, PA with the Rev. Craig R. Lindahl officiating. A Masonic service will be held at 6 PM.
