Joseph Franklin King

Joseph Franklin King, 94, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024 at Quality Life Services in Worthington, PA.

He was born on Sept 16, 1930 in N. Buffalo Twp., PA, the son of Henry and Alice (Claypoole) King.

Franklin was a 1948 graduate of Ford City High School and a lifelong resident of Armstrong County. He was member of Victory Baptist Church. Franklin was employed by PPG for over 45 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

His memory will be cherished by his children, Jacqueline Bandy and husband, John of Annapolis, MD, Kimberly Keller and husband, Calvin of Morning Sun, IA, Joel King and wife, Janine of Carriere, MS, Loren King and wife, Aline of Seneca, PA, Chris King of Kittanning, and Jody King and wife, Karen of Kittanning; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Joy Dean (Lukehart) King, who passed away on June 3, 2020; a granddaughter, Rachel King; and his siblings, Annebelle Charles, Janet King, Henry "Ward" King, Margie Julian, Sherwood King, and Gordon King; a daughter-in-law, Rochele King.

Funeral services will be privately held.

Internment is in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township, PA.
