Mildred H. "Mid" Rosborough

Mildred H. "Mid" Rosborough, 93, of Shelocta, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024 at Communities of Indian Haven in Indiana, PA surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 13, 1931 to Alfred Carl and Vernie Elizabeth (Jamison) Silvis.

Mid was a member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and member of Lutheran Church Women. She was employed for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier for twenty one years until her retirement in 1991. Mid most loved spending time with her family and taking care of her home. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, word searches, reading, traveling and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan.

She is survived by three daughters, Shelly Rosborough and companion Joan Elliott, Melanie Williams and husband Matthew, and Marilin Rosborough all of Shelocta; daughter-in-law, Lucy Rosborough; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Mid was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Clarence Rosborough whom she married January 7, 1951 and died September 4, 2008; sons, Bradley Rosborough and Gregory Rosborough; granddaughter, Staci Shaffer; her brother, Clark Silvis; her sister, Thelma Henderson; and an infant brother, John Silvis.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024 at the Mt. Union Lutheran Church, 1051 Girty Rd., Shelocta, with her pastor, Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers, STS officiating.

Interment will be in the Mt. Union Lutheran Cemetery, Plumcreek Twp., Armstrong Co.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Mt. Union Lutheran Church, 1051 Girty Rd., Shelocta, PA 15774 or Citizens Ambulance Service, 805 Hospital Rd, Indiana, PA 15701.
