Jacquelin Patricia "Jacque" Copeland

Jacquelin Patricia "Jacque" Copeland, 63, of Kittanning, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on Aug. 20, 1961 in Kittanning, PA; the daughter of Andrew Jackson Copeland and Eleanor (Matthews) Rumbarger.

Jacque graduated from Kittanning High School, Penn State University and from Citizens School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Her passion was working with special needs children.

Jacque loved attending music events and met the love of her life at a fundraiser while listening to live music. Mark and Jacque spent three wonderful years together riding Harleys, side by sides, gardening and playing with her guard dog "Jax". They loved making memories and sitting on the front porch together.

Jacque was an amazing cook and loved to prepare meals for her friends and family, who were always welcome at her table. Her daughter best said, "My mother had friends everywhere, because she was a person who would love someone before she even knew them. She would take care of people even when she had no obligation to. She was a nurse and a lifesaver. An empathetic, generous, kind heart woman. A loving and caring mum, mamam, and gramamam. A wonderful friend to anyone."

She will be dearly missed by her loving fiancé, Mark Moore; her son, Jacob Toy and wife, Sylvia of New Kensington; daughters, Angela Claypoole and husband, Jason of Ford City and Rachel Toy (Keenan Cribbs) of Kittanning; grandchildren, Morgan Hrabczuk (Atlee Byler) and Aden Claypoole; great-grandchild, Lane Byler; brother, Tommy Copeland; and her sister, Jolene Kamerer.

Jacque is preceded in death by parents; her special needs daughter, Elizabeth Schrecengost; and siblings, Joe, Sherry and Debby.

In memory of Jacque, her loved ones plan to live the way she did… with love in their heart no matter what.

A celebration of Jacque's life will be held from 1 to 6 PM on Sunday Sept. 1, 2024 at Kittanning Township Fire Department, 13126 US-422, Kittanning, PA 16201.
