John A. Lentz

John A. Lentz, 72, of Rural Valley, PA, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024 at his home.

He was born on July 21, 1952 in Indiana, PA, to Lincoln and Sylvia (Halldin) Lentz.

John was a 1970 graduate of Indiana High School. He worked as a self-employed electrician and enjoyed raising chickens and working outside.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Mary Evelyn (McCracken) Lentz, whom he married on Aug. 11, 1973; his son, Steve M. Lentz of Indiana, Pa; grandchildren, Nick, Tori and Kelsey Lentz; three great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Edla M. Lentz of Martinsburg, PA, Tim W. Lentz of Johnstown, PA, Ida L. Batulis and husband, John of Delaware, Loraine Williams and husband, Tom of Connecticut, his twin sister, Jamie E. Wetzel of Marion Center, and Margy Chambers and husband, Terry of Maryland.

John was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Susan C. Pierce.

At John's request, services will be private.
