Tierney L. Simmons

Tierney L. Simmons, of Ford City, PA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Worthington on August 11, 1957, the daughter of Mary Louise (Edwards) and Earl C. "Boone" Bundy Jr.

Tierney graduated from Worthington Jr. and Sr. High School in 1975. She attended ICM School of Business in Pittsburgh, graduating in 1976. She was employed by the law firm of Steiner and Steiner and Suckling and Valasek. She was later employed by Armstrong County as secretary to the Honorable Kenneth G. Valasek for over 26 years. In her tenure with the County, she was also employed as the law librarian and secretary to the Honorable Joseph A. Nickleach. She was a member of Franklin Union Baptist Church where she served as church clerk for many years and sang in the choir.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Bethany Simmons and her daughter and son-in-law, Tristin Wark and Dennis Shay; her grandchildren, Alice and Henry Simmons, and Scarlett Wark, whom she loved dearly.

She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Pam Bundy and her two sisters and their husbands, Pam and Todd Gladysiewski and Val and Keith Mechling. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Tierney was preceded in death by her father, Earl.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Franklin Union Baptist Church, 106 Century Hill Lane, Worthington, PA 16262 with Pastor Scott Jones officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tierney's memory to the Franklin Union Baptist Church, 106 Century Hill Lane, Worthington, PA 16262.
