Walter R. "Butch" Lasher

Walter R. Lasher, 83, of Templeton, PA, was reunited with his loving wife, Annabelle on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 9, 1940 in Washington Twp., Armstrong County, PA., the son of Delbert Lasher and Velma May (Stover) Nelson

Walter previously worked at Harbson Walker Refractory in Templeton and later worked as a truck driver with Williamson Trucking and retired from Altman Trucking in 2002. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and canning. He was an animal lover who liked to take care of his dogs, most recently his Chihuahua, Rocky.

He will be deeply missed by his son, Bradley Kent Lasher and wife, Dawn, of Ford City; daughter, Cindy Lasher and companion, Edwin Giron, of Kittanning; granddaughters, Desiree Croyle and husband, Evan of Ambridge, PA and Miranda Santa and husband, Jeffrey of Monaca, PA; one great-granddaughter, Brielle Nicole Croyle; three brothers, Carl Dean Lasher of Templeton, James Nelson and wife Nancy of Harrisburg, and Bob Nelson and wife, Ellen of Lemoyne, PA; and two sisters, Shirley Wolfe and Marie Barnes and husband, Clair "Junior" all of Kittanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Annabelle (Crissman) Lasher, whom he married on June 4, 1960 and who passed away on Feb. 19, 2015; and his brothers, Raymond Eugene Lasher, and John Wayne Lasher.

Services will be private.

Interment will be in Cochran Cemetery, Templeton, PA.
