Lois E. Yount

Lois E. Yount, 83, of Shelocta, PA, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 29. 2024 at Kittanning Health and Rehab Center in Kittanning, PA.

She was born January 12, 1941 in Girty, PA, the daughter of Murray W. and Sarah E. (Walker) Meyer.

Lois spent most of her life in Indiana County and worked for 20 years at the Robert Shaw Control County. She was a member of Mt. Union Lutheran Church and was a talented cook and baker. In her spare time, she worked on crossword puzzles and enjoyed watching football and racing on television.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Homer C. Yount, whom she married November 1, 1974; brothers, Robert L. Meyer, of Shelocta, Dale E. Meyer and wife, Theresa, of Shelocta; sister, Darlene A. Heltion and husband, Ray, of New Kensington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Louise Riggle and brothers, George E. Meyer and Donald E. Meyer.

At Lois' request, services will be private.
