Gary M. Wortham
Gary M. Wortham, 73, of Sagamore, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Whispering Pines Manor in Sagamore, PA.

He was born on May 10, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, the son of James and Anna Marie (Littlepage) Wortham.
Gary grew up in St. Louis County, St. Charles and Columbia, MO. He played the trombone in the marching band throughout high school and attended Hickman High School in Columbia before graduating from St. Charles High School. Gary proudly served in U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
His favorite competition was playing cards and bowling at Kings Lanes. Gary enjoyed watching westerns, smoking his cigarettes, and drinking Diet Pepsi. He won the battle against alcohol addiction.
Sadly, Gary suffered effects of schizophrenia since late teens. The delusions and paranoia were difficult for him and for family relationships. May he be at peace now, with a renewed mind, living with Jesus.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Wortham of Denver, CO; and two sisters, Brenda Yamnitz and husband, Ronnie of Hallsville, MO and LaDonne Tarpley and husband, Jerry of West Salem, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at Community Bible Church, 2644 Main Street, Sagamore, PA, 16250.
Interment will be at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
