Olive R. Kunselman
Olive R. Kunselman, age 95, of West Kittanning, Armstrong Co., PA, died, Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Presbyterian Senior Care of Oakmont.She was born November 11, 1920, in Ford City, PA, the daughter of Albert and Florence (John) Baars.
Mrs. Kunselman was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Kittanning where she participated in the Von Bora Bible Class. She was a 1939 graduate of Ford City High School and then continued her education and graduated from Kittanning Business School. Olive was employed with the former Brody's Clothing Store for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and playing cards for many years with her very best friends. She also loved shopping and traveling, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Larry Kunselman and wife Pat of Upper St. Clair, PA; daughter, Barbara Bowser and husband Gary of Murrysville, PA; four grandsons, Adam Kunselman and wife Kathy, Andy Kunselman and wife Jule, Gary Bowser, Jr. and wife Lisa, and Kurt Bowser and wife Amy; a granddaughter-in-law, Corinne Kunselman; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Owen Kunselman, Ava Kunselman, Ella Kunselman, Brady Kunselman, Sam Kunselman, Nash Kunselman, Riley Bowser, Brock Bowser, Brett Bowser, Kaitlyn Good, Matthew Good, Ashley Good, Jack Poling, and James Poling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 69 years Wallace Kunselman, Jr. whom she married May 19, 1941 and who died September 16, 2010; sister, Alberta Burton; an infant brother, Albert Baars; and her grandson, Chet Kunselman.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.
Additional visitation will be held at 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at the St. John's Lutheran Church, 218 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, with the Rev. Carl A. Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
