Marlene Kay McCullough
Marlene Kay McCullough, 76, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at her home.She was born on Sept. 25, 1948, in Callensburg, PA, the daughter of Walter and Nettie (Stewart) Mauthe.
Kay attended the Curlsville United Methodist Church and was previously a member of the former Cherry Run United Presbyterian Church. Her greatest joy was caring for her family; especially, her husband, Burl. Kay was an avid reader who also liked to embroider, and crochet. She loved to cook and she made sure that you would never leave hungry. She loved her grandchildren immensely and they will always remember her taking them on Big Foot hunts and catching bumble bees. Kay will be remembered as being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was the best person they knew.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Burl McCullough, whom she married on June 1, 1968; a son, David B. McCullough and wife, Amber, of Echo, PA; a daughter, Kathy M. McCullough-Day and husband, Jonathan, of Troy, NY; ten grandchildren, Tammi McCullough, Jess McCullough and wife, Lisa, Kayla McCullough, Nathan McCullough, Brianna McCullough, Luke McCullough, Seth McCullough, Cameron McCullough, Megan Day and fiancé, John Paul DiGiovanna, Laura Day and husband, Alex; four great-grandchildren, Mariska Huber, Mercedes McCullough, Shane Brocious, and Lincoln Huber; and two sisters, Eileen Say of Callensburg, PA, and Peg Saylor of Punxsutawney, PA.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Walter "Butch" Mauthe; and sister, Patricia "Pat" Fair.
Friends and family will be received at 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg, with the Pastor Steven Ketner officiating.
Interment will be in Cherry Run U.P. Cemetery in Rimersburg, PA.
