John J. Altmeyer, Jr.

John J. Altmeyer, Jr., 85, of Whitesburg, PA, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning, PA.

He was born May 9, 1940 in Natrona Heights, PA; the son of Mae Edna (Rea) and John Joseph Altmeyer, Sr.

John was the proud owner and operator of Altmeyer's Custom Fab Trailers, which he founded in 1985. Before starting his business, he worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union. An avid outdoorsman, John loved hunting. His greatest passions was restoring classic cars and spending time with his family.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Linda (Woolf) Altmeyer; sons, Todd Altmeyer and wife Shelley of Renfrew; daughter, Tammie Dowling and husband Derek of Ford City; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and his sister, Diana Herbst and husband Ronald of Hamburg, PA.

John was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeff Altmeyer; brother, William Altmeyer; and sisters, Shirley Woodside, Sandy Lee Altmeyer and Marie Reesman.

At John's request, services will be held privately.
