Laura A. Ellermeyer

Laura A. Ellermeyer, 31, of San Francisco, CA, passed away on Aug. 27, 2023 at her home.

She was born on Dec. 31, 1991 in Worcester, MA, the daughter of Sean F. Ellermeyer and Darlene Carter.

Laura graduated in 2010 from Marietta High School in Marietta, GA. She attended the University of Florida and graduated with her Bachelor's Degree majoring in Finance. She was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority and was a columnist for the Independent Florida Alligator newspaper in Gainesville, FL. Laura started working in the mortgage industry right out of college. She spent four years at Freddie Mac, during which time she earned the designation of Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) from the Mortgage Bankers Association in recognition of her educational achievements and commitment to the profession. She went on to work with several other big names in the industry, including PenFed Credit Union and Blend, before joining Form Free as a business development manager at the beginning of August of 2023.

Laura's passion for her work was evident. Her enthusiasm was contagious and her kindness and warmth endeared her to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Laura was an adventurous spirit and a cat lover who volunteered with Mini Cat Town, a nonprofit kitten rescue and lounge in San Jose, Ca. She loved cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers with her Dad and taking trips with him to Las Vegas.

She will be forever missed by loving father, Sean F. Ellemeyer of Atlanta, GA and her mother, Darlene (Carter) Kaman and husband John of Marietta, GA, maternal grandmother Joan Carter, aunt Serena Hawley and uncle Tom Hawley, uncle Jeremy Ellermeyer and aunt Jill Ellermeyer, uncle James Carter, aunt Sally Carter, and her cousins Dylan Hawley, Carly Ellermeyer, Jack Ellermeyer Katie Ellermeyer, Olivia Slobozien, and Hannah Carter. She will be missed by her loving cat companion, Tortie, who was so special to her.

Laura was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather James Carter and her maternal grandparents, Gerald and Helen Ellermeyer.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 9 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 101 W. High St., Kittanning, with The Very Reverend Eric J. Dinga, V. F. as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
