Anna Grace Anthony

Anna Grace Anthony, 96, of Cabot, PA, formerly of Kittanning, PA, died Monday, March 13, 2023 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

She was born July 14, 1926 in West Franklin Township, PA, to John Edward and Essie (Claypoole) Leard.

Grace was a 1945 graduate of Ford City High School. After high school, she worked in the office at PPG and later as a manager for the Credit Bureau. Grace volunteered at ACMH and was a past president of the Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Franklin Union Baptist Church in Worthington where she sang in the church choir. Grace enjoyed many years of ballroom and square dancing with her husband, Ralph.

Her memory will be cherished by her son, Mark Anthony of Columbia, SC; daughters, Terri Hilliard and husband, Larry of Alburtis, PA, Darla Cross of Allentown, and Kami Anderson and husband, Mark of Home; grandchildren, Brian Hilliard and wife, Andrea, Matthew Cross and wife, Stephanie, Christopher Anthony, Bo Anderson and fiancé, Chantal Piatiak, Rebecca Anthony and Katlin Moore and husband, Brad; great-grandchildren, Tucker Hilliard, Jaxson Hilliard, Keaton Cross, Caleb Anderson, Kara Cross, Hunter Simon, Jake Simon, Jacob Anderson, and soon to be born, Joseph Anderson; her brother, Larry Leard and wife, Bernice of Bridgeville; nephew, John Leard and wife, Alyssa; niece, Julie Mason and husband, Shaun; great-nephews, Max and Jack Mason; and a special cousin, Charlene Perine.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Ralph E. Anthony, who she married on Jan. 15, 1948 and who passed away on Apr. 22, 2001.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Franklin Union Baptist Church, 106 Century Hill Lane, Worthington, PA 16226 with the Rev. Dr. Ronald G. Shafer officiating.

Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
