Elizabeth Sara Perotti

Elizabeth Sara Perotti, age 92, of Shelocta, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at Grey's Colonial Acres in Kittanning, PA.

She was born on November 10, 1914, in Sharon, Mercer Co., PA to John and Sara (Oravitz) Tontsch.

Mrs. Perotti was a 1933 graduate of New Castle High School. She had previously lived in the New Castle area from 1914 - 1934 and then lived in St. Clair, Michigan for seventeen years. She has resided in the Shelocta area from 1972 to the present. She was a homemaker and did domestic services for various employers.

Elizabeth attended Spring Church Lutheran Church in Apollo, PA and previously attended St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Brick Church and the First Lutheran Church in Rural Valley. She was very active and took great pride in serving the churches where she attended. She was also a member of the Elderton Senior Citizens, Elderton Area Agency on Aging, and the Elderton American Legion.

She is survived by her daughter, Eileen M. Ditmore and her husband Larry of Shelocta, PA; one step-daughter, Florence Jackson of Columbus, OH; three step-sons, Edward L. Perotti of Rural Valley, PA, Daniel Perotti of Rural Valley, PA, and Peter Perotti and his wife Margo of Port Alleghany, PA.; one grandson, Roger T. Ditmore and his fiancé Melissa Chronosky of Shelocta, PA; a grand daughter-in-law, Sandy L. Ditmore of Kittanning, PA; a great-grandson, Jud Thomas Ditmore and a great-granddaughter Jil Nicole Ditmore both of Kittanning, PA; one sister, Selma Christina Freytag of Greenville, PA; and a half sister, Pauline Campbell of New Castle, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant children; a half brother, John Tontsch; her 2nd husband, Edward Perotti whom she married Dec. 2, 1972 and whom died Jan. 5, 1986; and her first husband, Irvin William Haney whom she married Aug. 1, 1936 and whom died Jan 10, 1970.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, August 23, 2007, at Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, 238 South Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be held at The Spring Church Lutheran Church in Apollo, PA on Friday, August 24, 2007, from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM Rev. Kimberly Rapczak officiating.

Interment will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Burrell Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.
