John A. Hetrick
John A. Hetrick, 92, of Fort Myers, Fl., died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Shell Point Retirement Community.

He was born April 3, 1925 in Mayport, Clarion Co., PA, to Samuel and Ella (Shafer) Hetrick.
John was a member of Daniels Road Baptist Church of Fort Myers, FL. Before moving to Florida in 1989, he was a former resident of Wexford, PA. John graduated in 1943 from New Bethlehem High School and the Walton School of Finance of Chicago, IL. He was also a veteran of World War II, where he served in the Pacific Theater as a member of the Army, 147th Infantry. John was employed with PPG Industries and initially worked 10 years at the glass factory in Ford City, PA. He later worked an additional 10 years at the Kokomo, IN plant and retired from the home office of PPG Industries in Pittsburgh, PA as manager of accounts receivable for a total of 40 years. John enjoyed participating in church activities, boating, golfing, hunting, and computers. John loved people and enjoyed putting a smile on everyone's face.
He is survived by his daughters, Vanessa Martin and husband, Stephen, of Fort Myers, FL, and Rhonda Storer and husband, Mark, of Warsaw, IN; grandchildren, Joshua Martin and wife, Ashley, Kara Thorn and husband, Jonathan, Ron Schomburger and wife, Yasmin, Allison Miller and husband, Joshua, and Heather Sloan and husband, Dustin; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jackson and Vivian Martin, Caleb and Lilly Thorn, Olivia and Dillon Sloan, and Madelyn Schomburger; brothers, George Sam Hetrick and wife, Jane, of Putneyville, PA, Carl Hetrick and wife, Elaine, of Mayport, PA, Richard Hetrick and wife, Anita, of Pendleton, IN; and sisters, Dorothy Reedy, Grace Burkett, and Mary Lou Shriver and husband, Norm, all of Kittanning, PA.
John was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Gertrude (Van Dyke) Hetrick, whom he married December 23, 1948 and who died April 12, 2011.
The family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 North McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.
Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
