Laurie Mae Delacour

Laurie Mae Delacour, age 54, of 1654 East Route 422, Fenelton, PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.

She was born October 11, 1958 Armstrong County Memorial Hospital to Carol Mae (Clever) Delacour and Merle Edwin Delacour, Sr.

She had been a resident of Lifesteps Group Homes for the last 19 years. Laurie was greatly loved and cared for by the workers and staff for Lifesteps. She was a very special person that suffered much affliction and pain in this life, but is now rejoicing with loved ones who have gone on before her. She will be sadly missed by those who loved and cared for her.

She is survived by her mother, Carol Mae (Clever) Delacour, of Kittanning; father, Merle Edwin Delacour, Sr. and step-mother, Patricia, of Kittanning; brothers, Merle E. Delacour, Jr., of Kittanning, Jeffrey A. Delacour and wife, Polly, of Adrian, and David J. Delacour, of Kittanning; sister, Rebecca Jane Delacour, of Kittanning; step-sisters, Marianne Yassem, of Ford City and Tami Lynn Storey, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; step-brother, William P. Storey and wife, Sandy, of Ford City; many aunts, uncles and cousins; three nieces; and several step-nieces, step-nephews and cousins.

Laurie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Merle H. Delacour and Eleanor Jane Delacour; maternal grandparents, James Walter Clever and Florence B. Clever; step-brother, Thomas Storey and her very special cousin Jennifer Lynn Delacour.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Jason Schweinberg officiating.

Burial will be in Tidal Union Cemetery, Tidal, Pennsylvania.
