Carolyn Waters

Carolyn J. Waters, 77, of Ford City, PA, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at ACMH Hospital.

She was born June 22, 1939 in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of William Edmund Gallaher, Jr. and Alice Leah (Rush) Gallaher.

Carolyn lived most of her life in the Kittanning area and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Her greatest accomplishment was caring for her family but she had previously worked for Foulis Dry Cleaners and the Armstrong County Credit Bureau. She loved her nieces and nephews and cared for them as if they were her own children. Carolyn enjoyed flower gardening, especially roses, and listening to the services on the radio from the Church of God in Butler. She adored animals, but her main love was for cats.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, William K. Waters, whom she married June 6, 1970; two sons, Wade L. Rearick and wife, Tracey of Kittanning, and Will Waters of Glenshaw; a step-son, Thomas Waters of Pittsburgh; a step-daughter, Patricia Furst of New Albany, OH; one grandchild, Zachary W. Rearick of Philadelphia; her dear kitty, Patrick; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Gallaher and Ruth Gallaher; and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George Rush Gallaher, Sr., James C. Gallaher, William E. Gallaher, III, and David M. Gallaher; and sister, Mary Alice Masters.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 North McKean St., Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 1 PM until the time of funeral services at 2 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church, 301 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, with the Rev. Wade Berkey officiating.

Interment will be in Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
