Esther L. Treece

Esther L. Treece, 66, of Boulder WY; formerly of Kittanning, PA died May 17, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Hospital, Idaho.

She was born on March 9, 1947 in McGrann, PA the daughter of James R. and Anna Eve(King) Gray.

Esther was employed as a nurse's aide during her working life. Family was important to her which led her to the state of Wyoming where she resided for the past three years taking care of her father. Esther found pleasure in her favorite pastime which was gardening as well as cooking and canning. She will be remembered for making the best apple dumplings.

Left to cherish her memory is her father, James R. Gray of Boulder, WY; two sons, Melvin G. Treece and wife Laura of Rural Valley, PA and Kenneth G. Treece, Jr. of Kittanning; two daughters, Kathy L. Hooks of Adrian and Bonnie M. Treece of Templeton, PA; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold W. Gray of Boulder, WY and Brad W. Gray and wife Julie of Utah.

She was preceded in death by her mother; four brothers, James R., Ken G., David E., and Nathan W. Gray; and her sister, Mary Ellen Gray; and a son-in-law Kenneth Hooks, Jr. who died May 11, 2013

Friends will be received from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 until the time of funeral services at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Steve Kromer officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ford City Cemetery, Manor Twp., Armstrong Co., PA
