Kevin Harvey Miller

Kevin Harvey Miller, 39, of Ford City, PA, died October 28, 2012, at his residence.

He was born January 29, 1973 in Indiana County, PA., the son of Terry and Janice (Frailey) Miller.

Kevin lived in the area all his life and graduated from Lenape VoTech in 1992. For fifteen years he worked as a chief electrician at Rosebud Mining Company and, along with his wife, Tina, was co-owner of Tina's Log Cabin Restaurant in Elderton. Vehicles were his passion, and he always working on and building cars and bikes. Kevin loved riding his Harley and his 2007 ½ Diesel Chevy Duramax Truck; he also loved his new 1968 Camaro. He was extremely proud of the Coalminer's Bike that he built, which was featured in Cycle Source Magazine.

Hunting with his wife and his coon dogs, Hank and Saber, was another of his favorite pastimes, as was woodworking. He also enjoyed the company of his feisty cat, Schmigs, and his dogs, Raven, an English Mastiff, and Max, a boxer. Kevin will always be remembered for his unique sense of humor and quick-wit, and his laugh, smile and bold presence will be forever cherished by his family and friends.

Kevin is survived by his parents; loving wife, Tina (Pyle) Miller; stepsons, Preston, Ross and Trevor Harmon, all of Kittanning; stepdaughter, Alexandra Harmon, of Ford City; sister, Tara Hallof and husband, Aaron, of Elderton; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Virginia Frailey, of Shelocta; paternal grandfather, Russell Boyer, of Ford City; nephew on the way, Karter Hallof; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Elmira Boyer.

Friends will be received from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, and 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be held at 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Vaughn Taylor officiating.
