Verl D. Moore
Verl D. Moore, age 86, of Kittanning, died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Grey's Colonial Acres.

He was born on May 10, 1926 in Mosgrove, PA to Howard Mason and Tirza R. (Rood) Moore.
Verl was a lifetime resident of Armstrong County and honorably served as a staff sergeant in the US Air Force during WWII. He received a degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh and then went to work as an engineer in the F-111 Division at PPG Industries in Creighton where he designed airplane windshields for 29 years until his retirement in 1983. Reading was a favorite pastime of Verl's, and in his younger years he was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on cars. Verl enjoyed the outdoors and belonged to the Pine Creek Sportsman Club; he also attended the Kittanning Free Methodist Church and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kittanning. Those who knew Verl will always remember his commitment to his family and how he was a wonderful father and loving grandfather.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Lois (Dailey) Moore, who he married November 13, 1953; son, Clyde "Corky" Moore and wife, Tammy, of Templeton; daughter, Ginger Nasser and husband, Tom, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Amanda Strauser and husband, Anthony, Lauren Nasser, Ashley Moore, Emma Nasser and Tommy Nasser; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Haylee and Zayne Strauser; and brother, Rev. Robert R. Moore and wife, Tillie, of Nicholasville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Victor Moore.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Bauer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Kittanning Free Methodist Church, 2339 Freeport Rd., Kittanning, with the Rev. Wayne R. Sawyer officiating.
Interment will be in Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, Pennsylvania.
