Larry D. Trudgen

Larry D. Trudgen, 75, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026 at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born on Sept. 28, 1950 in Kittanning, PA, the son of W. Dale and Grace (Grey) Trudgen.

Larry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Natural Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1972. He was the owner of T & T Builders and a hardworking carpenter, taking great pride in the homes he built throughout the local area. Larry was a devoted member of Grace Presbyterian Church, where he served as a member of Session and chairman of the Property Committee. He had a deep love for his farm and cherished the countless hours he spent working there and enjoying the life he built. Larry cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, and treasured every moment spent watching them grow and making memories together. His love for his faith, his farm, and his family will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Carol (King) Trudgen of Kittanning, whom he married on Jan. 18, 1974; son, Brian Trudgen and wife Tiffany of Sarver; daughter, Jennifer Lichtenfels and husband Chad of Sarver; and his grandchildren, Benjamin and Zachary Trudgen and Alex, Cole and Gabriel Lichtenfels.

Larry will also be missed by his brothers, Rev. Terry Trudgen and wife Judy, of Vandergrift, PA and Daniel Trudgen and wife Dancene, of Haines City, FL; his sister, Darlene Welsh of Grand Junction, CO; brother-in-law, Robert King and wife Jane of Ford City, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family will be received from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be held at 12 PM until the time of services at 1 PM on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026 at the Bauer Funeral Home with Larry's brother, Rev. Terry Trudgen officiating.

Contributions may be made in Larry's memory to Grace Presbyterian Church, 155 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, PA 16201.
