Nancy W. Cunningham

Nancy W. Cunningham, 98, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025 at Kittanning Health and Rehab Center in Kittanning, PA.

She was born September 8, 1927 in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of W. Guy Woodring and Velma (North) Woodring.

Nancy was a lifelong resident of Kittanning and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1945. She then attended the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing and most recently worked as a registered nurse for Dr. Keith Buck, retiring in 1988 after 13 years of service. Nancy also formerly worked as a substitute school nurse for the Armstrong School District. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon and elder throughout the years. Nancy was a Red Cross volunteer and also worked on the Kittanning Election Board. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband.

Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Mark Cunningham and wife, Linda, of Kittanning, Gregg Cunningham and wife, Diane, of Fleming Island, FL, and Eric Cunningham, of Worthington; grandchildren, Stephani, Clay, Evan, Travis, Josh, Molly, and Nathan; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Robert S. Cunningham, whom she married July 23, 1949 and who passed away on April 11, 2020; and sister, Marilyn Joy George.

Friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of funeral services at 12 PM on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, with Rev. John Hopkins officiating.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pennsylvania.
