Lori A. Smith

Lori A. Smith, 60, of Templeton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025 at her home.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1965, in Brookville, PA, the daughter of Dennis E. "Jack" and Vivian I. (Buzard) Hopper.

Lori was a 1983 graduate of Redbank High School and later attended Bradford Business School. She was a devoted member of Kittanning Church of Christ, where she lovingly taught Sunday School. Lori found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and especially cherished reading, camping, and walking on trails. She had a deep love for children and a passion for cooking. She loved to travel and she held a special place in her heart for the beach, especially the Outer Banks and the trips with her family. Lori was a truly thoughtful and talented gift giver, known for her generous spirit and kind heart. She will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the big, loving heart she shared with those around her.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Rick Smith, whom she married on June 22, 1985; son, Caleb Smith and wife, Megan of Penn Hills; daughter, Kaylee Dubia and husband, Zack of Widnoon; grandchildren, Carmen and Cleo Smith and Scarlet and Briar Dubia; brother, Randy Hopper of Templeton; and her nephew, Chancy Hopper and wife, Debbie and their children Avery, Gabe and Leo all of Fenelton.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Jacqueline Hopper.

Friends and family will be received from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025 at the Kittanning Church of Christ, 213 Blaney Rd., Kittanning, PA 16201 with Evangelist Larry Krause and Evangelist Brandon Foresha co-officiating.

Interment will be in Tidal Union Cemetery, Tidal, PA.

Contributions may be made in Lori's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
