Bill Salizzoni

Connell William "Bill" Salizzoni, 81, of Huey, PA passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

He was born on March 29, 1943 in Huey, PA, the son of Virgil and Joyce (Bobbert) Salizzoni.

Bill owned and operated the Country Store in Huey. He was a painter by trade and worked at G&G Contracting, RexHide, and PennDot. Bill was also a Toby Township Supervisor. His favorite pastimes were mowing his lawn, sitting on porch visiting with friends and neighbors, hunting and golfing with his friends and giving his grandchildren four-wheeler rides.

He married his wife, Shirley Ann (Marsh) Salizzoni on April 4, 1964 and they celebrated 60 years together. She survives. They have two married children, Bill Salizzoni (Sherri) of Slippery Rock and Janey Salizzoni Corle (Jeff) of Rimersburg; three granddaughters, Cynthia Salizzoni, Meg Salizzoni, and Beth Corle; great-grandson, Mason McConnell; two step-grandchildren, Trishia Bish and David Corle; and two step-great-grandchildren, Dylan and Peyton Bish.

Bill is also survived by his brother, Walter Salizzoni of Huey; and his sister, Betty "Sis" Anthony of Brookville.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Virgil.

Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg, PA.

Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Deeter officiating.

Interment will be in Sligo Cemetery, Sligo, PA.
