Diane Rena McIntire

Diane Rena McIntire, 61, of Shelocta, PA, formerly of Elderton, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at her home.

Diane was born on Oct. 19, 1962 in Kittanning, PA, to Ronald G. McIntire and the late Helen "Louise" (Petras) McIntire. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt.

Diane was a 1981 graduate of Elderton High School, living most of her life in Elderton before moving to Shelocta. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Gastown and was employed in housekeeping with Rosehaven for over 20 years, retiring in Jan. 2024.

Diane was a kind and loving soul. She was a friend to every person she crossed paths with. If ever in need, there was no question that she would help in any way she could.

Diane is survived by her father, Ronald G. McIntire; sister, Lorraine (Dr. Alan) Reefer, nephew, Justin Reefer; niece, Melissa (Cory) Grantz; and great-nieces, Aubrey and Evie; and great-nephew, Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen "Louise" McIntire; paternal grandparents, Grant and Twila McIntire; and maternal grandparents, Paul and Ethel Petras.

Family and friends will be received from 4 - 7 PM on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at the Clark Chapel of Bauer Funeral Home, Inc. of 238 South Main Street, Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM, on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the funeral home with Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers, STS officiating.

Contributions may be made in Diane's memory to Christ Lutheran Church, 205 Gastown Road, Shelocta, PA 15774.

Arrangements are being handled by the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc.
