Walter L. "Sonny" Barnett

Walter L. "Sonny" Barnett, 78, of Worthington, PA., went home to heaven early Wednesday morning, Dec. 8, 2021 at Newhaven Court at Clearview in Butler, PA.

Sonny was born on Dec. 27, 1942 in Kittanning, PA, the son of the late Leyman V. and Virginia (Lockhart) Barnett.

Sonny was survived by his wife, Patricia A. "Patty" (Jochinek) Barnett, whom he married on March 11, 1966. He honorable served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. Sonny owned and operated Allegheny Heat Treatment for more than 20 years. He enjoyed socializing with friends, golfing and NASCAR racing.

In addition to his wife, Sonny is survived by two daughters, Cathie L. Coyle and husband, Jim of Chicora and Jacqueline L. Barnett of Kittanning; his brother, Terry A. Barnett and wife, Kathryn of Greensburg; his sister, Colleen R. Hite of Indiana, PA; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Per Sonny's wishes there will be no public visitation or services.
