Diane (McDonough) Rood

Diane (McDonough) Rood, 74, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, formerly of Kittanning, PA was reunited with the love of her life, the late Theodore Charles "Ted" Rood on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in the city of Pittsburgh, PA on Feb. 16, 1950 to Stanley and Puedra (Borio) McDonough.

My Grandma, Diane, was a wonderful woman who was constantly thinking of everyone around her. The room lit up wherever she went. She found joy in caring for others; her family was her pride and joy. She dedicated herself to those whom she loved; she was always striving to keep her close friends and family happy and safe. Diane will forever be in our memories and in our hearts. She will be missed by those who knew her, and those who knew her will never forget her. +{Jace}

She will be missed by her son, Theodore Charles Rood II and wife, Mary, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, her daughter Dr. Kelly Diane Waugaman and husband, Brent, grandchildren, Jace and Brielle Heyman of Santa Fe, NM, and Justin Waugaman of Worthington, PA along with numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband, Theodore Charles "Ted" Rood, whom she married on June 5, 1971 and who passed away on April 15, 2010.

Diane's family will hold services privately. All family and friends are invited to Diane's Celebration of Life Reception held at the Latin American Club in Ford City, PA, on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
