Della Jean McCanna

Della Jean McCanna, 92, of Ford City, PA, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021 at Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation Center, Kittanning.

She was born April 19, 1928 in Kittanning, the daughter of Frank Joseph Kline and Zetta Mae (McCollim) Kline.

Della was a resident of Kittanning for most of her life and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1946. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kittanning and worked as a clerk for the former G. C. Murphy Company for 15 years until her retirement in 1987. Della's favorite hobbies included crocheting, reading, taking walks, playing cards, and working on puzzles.

She will be greatly missed by her sons, Stanley C. McCanna and wife, Donna, of Virginia Beach, VA, James H. McCanna and wife, Debbie, of Kittanning, and Jeffrey R. McCanna and wife, Pam, of Kittanning; daughter, Amy L. Cirrincione and husband, Chuck, of Kittanning; grandchildren, Mandy Wheat and husband, Scott, Kevin McCanna, Courtney Long and husband, Brandon, Katie McCanna and Bradley Taylor, Brittany Cornman and husband, Richard, Sam McCanna and wife, Brooke, Maggie McCanna, and Joey McCanna; and five great-grandchildren, Cameron and Conner Toy, Zachary and Nicholas Wheat, and Emma Cornman.

Della was predeceased in death by her parents; loving husband, Stanley C. "Sonny" McCanna, whom she married November 20, 1949 and who died December 8, 2004; brothers, Charles Kline and William Kline; and sisters, Janet Emery, Annabelle Breghenti, Margaret George, and Luella Jane Bowser.

Funeral services will be privately held.

Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA.
