Joseph M. "Joe" Lucovich, Jr., 91, of Worthington, PA, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2018, at Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born Dec. 10, 1926 in Lowellville, OH, the son of Joseph M. Lucovich, Sr. and Josephine (Matilja) Lucovich.

Joe was a lifelong resident of Armstrong County and honorably served in the US Army. He was a mechanic at Moonlight Mushrooms for 23 years, retiring in 1989, but his true love was farming. Starting at age 14, Joe began working on a neighbor's farm and continued to do so throughout his life.

He loved visiting relatives and traveling with his wife, Zelma. Gardening and woodworking were two of Joe's favorite hobbies, and he also enjoyed listening to polka and country music and was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports teams. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends and was especially thankful for his close relationship with his grandson. Joe's greatest legacy was being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to those who knew him.

Joe will be remembered with love by his daughter, Darla J. Lane and husband, Timothy, of Pittsburgh; grandson, Ryan T. Lane, of Pittsburgh who is a student at Kent State University; brother, Frank Lucovich, of Richland Hills, TX; sister, Mary Majetich and husband, William, of Newbury, OH; sister-in-law, Jessie Beers and husband, Clair, of Kittanning; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Zelma M. (McClanahan) Lucovich, whom he married June 24, 1949 and who died September 7, 2010; brothers, John and Peter Lucovich; sisters, Ruby Krchnavy, Rose Morrow, Elizabeth Logan and Ann Schrecengost; and infant brother, Marion Lucovich.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, at the funeral home, with the Reverend Douglas E. Dorula officiating.

Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, PA, where military honors will be presented by the American Legion Honor Guard.
