Henry Ward King, 94, of Tarentum, PA, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at Fawn Personal Care Home.

He was born March 1, 1924 in North Buffalo Twp., Armstrong Co., PA, to Henry T. King and Alice (Claypool) King.

Henry honorably served in the US Army during World War II and was a former resident of Center Hill in North Buffalo Twp. For 43 years, he worked at the Allegheny Ludlum Brackenridge plant until he retired from the clad metal department in 1986. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America. Henry was a former member of Cornerstone Bible Baptist Church and most recently was a member of St. Paul's Congregational Church in Plumcreek Twp.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Mildred L. (Claypool) King, whom he married July 18, 1970; daughters, Debra King, of Kittanning, and Gloria King, of Hopewell, VA; step-son, Roger Baker, of Fredonia; brother, Franklin King and wife, Joy Dean; sister, Margie Julian and husband, Leonard, of Penn Hills; and sister-in-law, Sonia King, of Distant.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Beatrice (Willyard) King, who died September 1, 1969; brothers, Gordon King and Sherwood King; and sisters, Janet King and Annabelle Charles.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, September 10, 2018, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Whipple officiating.

Interment will be in Center Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Kittanning, PA, where military honors will be presented by the American Legion Honor Guard.
