Lillora C. Young
Lillora C. "Lil" Young, age 87, of Indiana, PA, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Scenery Hill Manor in Indiana.She was born August 27, 1925 in Plumcreek Twp., Armstrong Co., PA to Clarence and Freda (Sinclair) Graham.
Lil was a lifetime resident of the Elderton area and was a member of the Whitesburg United Methodist Church. She worked as a waitress for over 15 years at Reefer's Restaurant and then at G.C. Murphy for 10 years before she began to work at Shop N Save in Indiana, from which she retired. Lil was a member of the Rebecca Lodge-Silver Star #67 of Elderton and Local Union #23, and a former member of United Methodist Women. Lil was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and enjoyed watching and listening to their games. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brought her great joy, and they will always remember her caring and loving spirit. Lil was known by her family and friends as a "social butterfly" who appreciated a good conversation and meeting new people.
Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Royce C. Young and wife, Joan, and Randy R. Young and wife, Cheryl, all of Ford City; daughter, Debrah Lightbody and husband, Gary, of Ford City; grandchildren, Scott Lightbody and wife, Andrea, of Royersford, Alissa Young, of Brackenridge, Eric Young, of Ford City, Shawn Young and wife, Robbi, of Ford City, Cara Materkowski and husband, Eric, of Plum, and Curt Lightbody and wife, Kara, of Reading; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Albert Graham, of Kittanning Twp.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dwight, John, Donald, Thomas and Charles Graham; sister, Mildred Nolder; and one infant brother.
Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 South Main Street, Elderton.
Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Craig Lindahl officiating.
Interment will be in the Whitesburg Presbyterian Cemetery, Kittanning, Pennsylvania.
