Bradley E. Rosborough

Bradley E. Rosborough, age 58, of Shelocta, PA, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Scenery Hill Manor in Indiana, PA surrounded by his family.

His life began in Indiana, PA, where he was born on the 29th of December, 1953, the first son of Edwin C. and Mildred H. (Silvis) Rosborough.

Brad lived his whole life in the area, and was a member of the Mt. Union Lutheran Church. He had previously worked for Die Tech and Indiana Tool and Die as a machinist. His professional memberships included the Cattleman's Association and the NRA.

A machinist by profession but a farmer at heart, he farmed the Rosborough family land with his father for years. He loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter. Among Brad's circle of family and friends, he was known for his quick wit and good-natured teasing personality. Despite his love of farming, it did not surpass the love he had for his children and grandchildren. He looked forward to family gatherings and spending time with his family. Brad was a loving father, grandfather, son and brother who will be greatly missed as the seasons change.

His memory will be carried on with love by his mother, Mildred H. Rosborough, of Shelocta; sons, Chad Rosborough and wife, Michele, of McDonald, and Damian Rosborough, of Shelocta; step-daughter, Tonya Hooks, of Kittanning; nine grandchildren, Bethanie, Scotty, and Tristan Shaffer, Miranda and Kolby Hooks, Tyler, Tanner, and Jocelyn Rosborough, and Destiny Erdley; a brother, Greg Rosborough and wife, Lucy, of Shelocta; sisters, Shelly Rosborough, Melanie Williams and husband, Matt, and Marilin Rosborough, all of Shelocta; companion, Betty McKee, of Shelocta; and Joan Elliot, a close family friend of Shelocta.

He was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Staci Haslett.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street Elderton, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Mt. Union Lutheran Church, 1051 Girty Rd., Shelocta, with the Rev. Joyce Dix-Weiers officiating, assisted by the Rev. April Dailey.

Burial will be in Mt. Union Lutheran Cemetery, Shelocta, PA.
