Thomas D. "Tom" Wingard
Thomas D. "Tom" Wingard, 68, of Elderton, PA, passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025 at his home.He was born on Jan. 19, 1957 in Indiana, PA, the son of Robert Delone and Arlene (Sheasley) Wingard of Elderton, PA.
Tom was a 1974 graduate of Elderton High School and a member of the Elderton Presbyterian Church. He belonged to the Indiana Moose, the Red Barn Sportsman Club, and was a lifetime member of the Indiana Bow & Gun Club. Tom worked for the United Mine Workers Association Local #1412 for many years. After retiring from the mine, he became the owner and operator of T's Window Cleaning and continued working until his retirement in 2019.
Tom enjoyed turkey and deer hunting and spending time at camp. He played softball his entire life and loved watching his grandson, Gage play baseball and football. He was an avid Steelers fan. Tom was loved by everyone who knew him and had a wonderful sense of humor that could always put a smile on anyone's face.
His memory will be cherished by his parents; loving wife, Sandy (Huya) Wingard, whom he married on Oct. 16, 1993; son, Troy Wingard and wife, Kelli of Homer City; grandson, Gage Wingard; sister, Brenda Cribbs and husband, Jerry of Elderton; nieces, Melanie Overly and Melany Foust; nephew, Matthew Cribbs and wife, Tonya; great-nieces and nephews, Dalton and Clayton Overly, Kaylynn, Keenan and Cody Cribbs, Taylor and Tyler Foust; sister-in-law, Gloria Young; and numerous aunt, uncles and cousins.
Friends and family will be received from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, at the Clark Chapel of the Bauer Funeral Home, Inc., 238 S. Main Street, Elderton, PA.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of Memorial Service at 11 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025 at the Elderton Presbyterian Church, 115 N. Main St., Elderton, PA with Rev. Dr. Angel De La Cruz officiating.
