William E. "Bill" Shuster

William E. "Bill" Shuster, 91 of The Villages, FL, formerly of Kittanning, PA, passed away on July 13, 2025.

He was born on May 22, 1934 in Kittanning, PA, the son of Paul B. and Lucille (Rau) Shuster.

Bill was a 1952 graduate of Kittanning High School. He went on to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees. After 30 years of service to the Armstrong School District, Bill retired and relocated to Florida.

Bill was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Florida. He was also a member of Elks BPOE Lodge 203 in Kittanning. Bill volunteered at both ACMH Hospital and The Villages Hospital.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife Janet E. (Wagner) Shuster whom he married May 19, 1956; sons, William P. Shuster of Ford City, PA, Michael E. Shuster (Susie) of Wylie, TX; daughter Kay Strigle (Joe) of State College, PA; grandchildren, Brooks Shuster, Kiera Boarts (Zachary), Brent Shuster, Brad Strigle (Nina), Jessica Cherry (Jon), Ashley Shuster (Ish), Matthew Shuster, Katrina Shuster, Thomas Shuster (Vitu), and Edward Shuster; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Shuster (Joyce); sisters, Mary Lou Hulings, Kate Lattanzio (Bob), Pam McMillen (Greg), Cindy Younkins and sister-in-law, Dorothy Ann Shuster; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jim Shuster, and brothers-in-law, Bob Hulings and Brad Younkins.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 AM on Friday, July 25, 2025 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM on Friday, July 25, 2025, at St. Mary's Our Lady of Guadalupe, 101 West High Street, Kittanning PA with The Reverend Madhu Kodavatikanti as celebrant.

The family requests in lieu of flowers to donate to a charity of your choice.

Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.
