Charles E. "Charlie" McGinnis

Charles E. "Charlie" McGinnis, 74, of Kittanning, PA., passed away on June 9, 2025 of pulmonary fibrosis.

Charlie was born on Oct. 24, 1950 to the late Frank H. and Christine (Stephens) McGinnis of Mt. Nebo, PA.

He was a 1969 graduate of Penn Manor High School in Millersville, PA. Charlie also graduated from Lancaster Bible College and Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana.

His life was a testimony of his love for his Lord and Savior, and his family. He will be cherished and missed by his wife of 46 years, Diane (Reaf); son, Matthew and wife, Haley; grandson, Maverick; and brother, Carroll.

Charlie leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and service; he touched many lives through his words, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to his congregation. He pastored three churches, one in Western New York, and two in Pennsylvania, and he was an active member at N. Buffalo Grace Brethren Church. His other work history included pouring iron in two foundries, driving school buses and transit vehicles, custodial work, and being the school district mail carrier.

Charlie had a love for reading, driving, watching football, and collecting comic strips. He was known for his sense of humor, which persisted despite his illness. His bold and friendly voice will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of memorial services at 11 AM on Friday, June 20, 2025 at North Buffalo Grace Brethren Church, 135 Glade Run Rd, Kittanning, PA, with Pastor Matthew Foreman officiating.
