Mary Louise Chandler

Mary Louise Chandler, 78, of Rimersburg, PA, went to be with her husband and son on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024 at her home.

She was born on Aug. 6, 1946 in Rochester, PA; the daughter of Edward and Florence (Johnston) Weigel.

Mary Louise grew up in Baden, PA and fell in love with her future husband, Bill at the age of 14. They settled in Rimersburg, where she spent her time taking care of her family. She loved to crochet and her specialty was making baby blankets that she lovingly made for everyone. Mary Louise will be missed dearly and remembered for the unselfish love and care she gave her family.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Lisa M. Shaw and husband, Rick of Brookville, and Denise Lousie Merryman and husband, Bob of Knox; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Charleena) Chandler, Justin Shaw, Dillan (Meaghan) Burt, Roy Anthony, Blaine Anthony, Jessica (Ashtin Matthews) Shaw, and Zander "Bubba" Murray; nine great-grandchildren, Dessa Lingenfelter, Jaylyn Chandler, Aubree Anthony, Roy Anthony III, Layla Louise Anthony, Natalie Anthony, Lydia Burt, Haylee Burt, and Jocelynn Mary Burt; and one great-great-grandchild, Paeton Brown.

Mary Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, William N. "Bill" Chandler, whom she married on Oct. 5, 1963 and who died on Dec. 3, 2015; son, William E. Chandler who died in 2004; father-in-law, George Chandler; mother-in-law, Mary D. (Wynkoop) Chandler; and her sister, Diana Rape.

Relatives and friends will be received from 12 PM until the time of services at 2 PM on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg with the Rev. Mark Deeter officiating.

Interment will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA.
