L. Earl Cravener

L. Earl Cravener, 94, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Kittanning, PA, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Communities at Indiana Haven.

He was born on June 28, 1930 in Kittanning, Pa., to Lawrence A. and Ruth E. (Dunmire) Cravener.

Earl was a 1948 graduate of Kittanning High School. He worked for Snyder Coal Company for 28 years and retired as a foreman. He lived in Indiana County most of his life and was a member of Christ Rupp Lutheran Church and the Masonic Lodge #244. Earl loved tractors and enjoyed mowing grass.

His memory will be cherished by his sons, Gary A. Cravener and husband, Stephen of Verona and Joseph E. Cravener and wife, Barbara of Ford City; a daughter, Ruth Ann Moyer and husband James of Winter Haven, FL; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence A. and Ruth E. (Dunmire) Cravener; his loving wife of 65 years, B. Nadine (Johns) Cravener, who he married on April 15, 1950 and who passed away December 18, 2015; and a daughter, Susan E. Fello.

Family and friends will be received from 10AM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 until the time of a memorial service at 11AM at Christ Rupp Lutheran Church, 228 Rupp Church Road, Kittanning, PA 16201 with Rev. Matthew Vatalare officiating.

Interment will be in Christ Rupp Lutheran Cemetery, Kittanning, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in Earl's honor to Christ Rupp Lutheran Church.
