Pearl Mong Jagnow
Pearl Mong Jagnow, 94, of Rimersburg went home peacefully to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 surrounded by family.Pearl grew up in Widnoon with her parents Ross and Ruth (Yount) Traister and siblings Leroy, Lloyd and Dorthy (Radaker) all deceased, as well as her youngest sister Martha McClellan, who was with Pearl at her last hour.
Pearl married C. Howard Mong in 1947 and the newlyweds resided in Rimersburg where they raised their three children Jack Mong (Carol), Barb Laurin (Ken) and Darla Lipps (Dennis). Howard preceded Pearl in death in 1984.
Pearl married William Jagnow in 1993 and they shared 26 years together before his passing.
Pearl was fully devoted to her family. At the time of her death, she had 9 grandchildren: Melissa, Cory (Tina) and Michael Mong; Curtis (Lindy), Brian (Addie), Jeremy (Rachel) and Tina Lipps; Jennifer Fuoco (Josh) and Erica Ulrich (Blake). Pearl had 15 great-grandchildren: Miya Joyce, Dexton, Brody and Chandler Mong, Khloe, Kaylee, Hudson, Nora and James Lipps, Caleb, Eli and Leah Fuoco, Katelyn and Meredith Dickson, and Nathan Ulrich.
Besides carrying for her family, Pearl loved the Lord and served at the Baker Street Church of God teaching Sunday School, working with VBS and was a member of the Women's Missionary Society.
The family's annual vacation was to Whitehall Camp and Conference Center for Camp Meeting each August and the tradition continues with most all of her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids attending each year.
Pearl was employed at Owens Illinois Clarion Glass Plant retiring in June of 1991 after 35 years of employment.
The family is so appreciative to all who came along side them during this time with friendship and prayers. They are so thankful for the help from the caregivers over the past several years that allowed Pearl to remain in her home, and the loving care in her final days provided by Clarion Forest VNA Hospice and Clarview Nursing Home will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024 at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg.
Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024 at Baker Street Church of God, 160 Veteran St., Rimersburg, officiated by granddaughter Pastor Tina Lipps.
Burial will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, Pennsylvania.
