Donnie L. Cornman
Donnie L. Cornman, 91, of Kittanning, PA passed away on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.He was born on Aug. 18, 1932 in Kittanning, PA, the son of Eden E. and Eleanor E. (Cogley) Cornman.
Donnie proudly served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division during the Korea conflict and served six years in the Army Reserves. He was a devoted member of the Worthington Baptist Church. He umpired Little League games and actively participated with the Armstrong County Historical Society for seven years. Donnie was a member of the fire police and a fireman with the West Hills Emergency Services, the former East Franklin Fire Dept. for over 60 years. He worked as a machinist for over 20 years with Pullman Standard never missing a day. He had a strong work ethic that he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed driving around to look for deer and going to yard sales with his wife, Mary Alice.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Mary Alice (Bennett) Cornman, whom he married on Sept. 24, 2021; his sons, Daniel Cornman and wife, Linda of Manorville and Thomas Cornman and wife, Debra of Kittanning; a step-son, George Weckerly and wife, Donna of Kittanning; step-daughter, Crystal Cowan and husband, David of West Kittanning; grandchildren, Tiffiney Krucek, Teila Rigatti, Adam Cornman, Ryan Cornman and wife, Sally, Jessica Mohrbacher and husband, Garrett, Bradley "BJ" Yount, and Trina Kutch and husband, Tim; step-grandchild, Jessica Brisbin and husband, Matt; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, B. Joyce (Olinger) Cornman, who passed away in 2016; a daughter, Linda Lundy; his brothers, Charles "Bud" Cornman, Harry Cornman, Victor Cornman, Paul Cornman, and Lawrence Cornman; and his sisters, Annabelle Loughrey and Mary Cornman.
Per Donnie's request, there will be no services or visitation.
