Nancy C. Smith

Nancy C. Smith, 84, of Harrisburg, PA, formerly of Kittanning, PA, passed away on August 31, 2025.

She was born on August 8, 1941 in Kittanning, PA to Kenneth McGee and Hazel Luella (Patterson) Smith.

Nancy was a graduate of Kittanning High School and Robert Morris Junior College in Pittsburgh. She worked as an administrative secretary for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection for over 35 years until her retirement in 2003. When she lived in Kittanning, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and after moving to Harrisburg she joined the church family of Grace United Methodist Church. Nancy also loved to travel and was a member of the WAWA, a water fitness group.

Nancy will be sadly missed by her six nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenneth Dale Smith; and a sister, Dorothy Louise Tarpley.

At Nancy's request, funeral services will be private.

Memorials may be sent in Nancy's honor to the Grace United Methodist Church, 216 State Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101 or the First United Methodist Church, 301 N. Jefferson Street, Kittanning, PA 16201.
