Sandra L. Kelley

Sandra L. "Sandy" Kelley, age 73, of Rimersburg, PA passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at her residence with her family by her side.

Her life began in East Brady, PA, where she was born on the 26th of April in 1938; the daughter of Art and Nellie (Martin) Reighard. In 1958, she married Jesse Kelley and she resided most of her life in Rimersburg with the exception of the time spent traveling while her husband was in the military. She was a faithful member of the Jerusalem United Church of Christ where she volunteered as treasurer.

Sandy was an outstanding homemaker. She took great pleasure in entertaining friends and family and reveled in the annual family reunions she and Jesse hosted each year at their home. Line dancing, square dancing, bowling and golf were just a few of her hobbies, but painting and crafts were her true passions. Sandy was one of the founders of the "A Christmas Present" annual craft show and looked forward to each year's presentation of her beautiful paintings and creations. She shared her talents with many over the past few years as she conducted art classes in her home. Of all that Sandy enjoyed, the company of family and friends was that which she cherished most. She was a loving wife, caring mother and grandmother and good friend, and will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives she has touched.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 53 years, Jesse Kelley; sons, Mitch Kelley and girlfriend, Cathy Kemmer, of Clarion and David Kelley and girlfriend, Dana Fike, of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Kim Dykes, and fiancé, Matt Davis, of Rimersburg; grandchildren, Ashlee Rudolph and husband, Kenny, Amy Confer and husband, Blaine, Matt Kelley and Kylee Kelley; great-grandchildren, Christian Confer and great-grandbaby to be, expected any day; and many nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James and William Reighard; and sister, Eleanor Reese.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg, PA.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 527 Main Street, Rimersburg, PA with Reverend Dr. John Gareis officiating.

Burial will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, Clarion Co., PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sandy's honor to Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 527 Main Street, Rimersburg, PA 16248.
